This is excellent. I cooked up potatoes in long strips to serve under the stroganoff. I find the coconut-lemon to be quite tasty. Also I am incredibly gauche by the recipe author’s standards, as I used a pound of ground hamburger. A point in my bougie favor is that I used baby Bella mushrooms. I question the “cook 30 seconds until broth has reduced by 1/4” (rough remembrance of the instructions). Even if cooking on high, it takes longer than that to reduce that much liquid. So I let it reduce longer.

The taste was better than average, but the portions were small. The directions saying, “1-Lemon,” was a horrible estimation. I cut a lemon in half and squeezed out about half the juice from that half into the recipe…and it was too much. The coconut flavor was a bit unbalancing and I had to add some sour cream at the end to even out the flavors. If trying to stay on certain dietary restrictions this recipe is a 5-star, but if you want more of the classic taste, substitute the lemon and coconut milk for sour cream.

Doubled the recipe and added Worstershire + Truffle Butter to the recipe ( more rich beef flavor ). Love the Mashed Potatoes as a base. Great dinner entree for a group!
