My family loved it! I could not find lemongrass, so used lemongrass paste instead. I also used boneless and skinless chicken thighs, and cooked the leftover marinade as serving sauce. Everyone kept coming back for more. Delicious with rice!! This is definitely a recipe I will use over and over.

Meat was too fatty, husband liked the taste, I thought it was just ok. I wouldn’t make again using the meat I used.

my go to bbq crowd pleaser. great with pork belly. kicked it up with a little more brown sugar, and a little more oil (used sesame oil/olive oil blend). be sure to know how to render the correct parts from the fresh lemon grass stalk.

THIS WAS "American" SPOT ON! I don't know how accurate this is to the authentic Vietnamese version but if you're looking for the taste that you get in the restaurants- you've found it! Followed the recipe exactly and doubled it for the amount of meat I was using. Let it marinade for 5 hours and threw it on a charcoal grill. First whiff and everyone knew it was a winner. This tasted as good as it smelled. Have put this one in PERMANENT rotation. Definitely try this one!!!!
