Brilliantly simple and delightfully delicious. We used only 1/2 cup sugar, and there was plenty of sweetness from the bananas. Straight to high rotation.

This has been my go to banana bread recipe for a few years now. I do make some adaptations. I sub butter for the shortening, add about 1tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon, but the real game changer, is adding 1/3 cup of milk. This banana bread is soft and moist as it is, but that milk really makes it so much better
I’ve played around by adding chocolate chips, coconut, blueberries etc and that’s always a nice change up too 😀
