An excellent recipe. I zested the lemons before juicing them and added the zest to the egg mixture. It really brought out the lemon flavor. Fantastic!

First time making lemon bars; my partner and I can't stop going back for just one more piece. i had the foresight to cut them into approx 1" squares instead of normal size bars so they'd be easier to snack on and not overstuff ourselves. I also added to the crust: 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Bars were very tasty! Easy recipe and everyone loved them. Next time I may add a little more lemon or a hint of zest to the crust.

This recipe was very sweet, after a few bites it was a little too much, but the crust was AMAZING. Super easy to make and very good, I would definitely make it again.

Yummy! I also used a little less sugar than what the recipe called for, and it was still very sweet. I also replaced some of the regular sugar with erythritol and monkfruit and it was delightful.

This recipe made way, way too much crust. The flavors were alright, but probably needed a pinch of salt.

So simple to make!
I added less sugar as in general I find most recipes too sweet

They were delicious and lemony tart in flavor. My friends are requesting I make more for them.

Turned out delicious I added a few tablespoons of Keylime juice which gave it nice flavor

Really good...I did put in additional lemon juice, more like 5/8 cup. I like the lemon flavor.

This was DELICIOUS! The crust took double the time the recipe asked for for some reason — I just waited til it was lightly browned and firm as recipe said. Once I added the lemon juice it looked kind of runny so I also added about 2 tsp of corn starch. I might lessen the sugar a tad bit next time too. But, they came out perfect!!!

These are amazing. My crust got stuck on the foil, so I will tweak that next time. I would also recommend probably less lemon juice! Overall these were great!

These lemon bars are phenomenal! I followed the author's recommendation and only used half a cup of lemon juice and WOW! What a great balance between tart and sweet!

This was my first time making lemon bars so I was nervous. It was a lot easier than I thought. Everyone that tried them loved them so I will definitely make again and I would recommend this recipe. I only used a half of cup of lemon and I’m glad I did too.

My preference is not to freeze so I halved the recipe and baked in an 8"x8" pan. My only variation to ingredients was the inclusion of the zest of two lemons.
If you are a lemon lover, these bars are for you. The tart but sweet lemony custard is the perfect complement to the shortbread crust.

I don’t even like lemon bars but I made these for Easter and I couldn’t stop myself from eating them! So incredibly easy to make and eat! Lol

The best ever! As someone else suggested, I added lemon zest to the crust and custard!

Simple and delicious; this recipe was well balanced between tartness and sweet. The shortbread was an excellent base and thickness. I will definitely use this recipe again.

Good, but very tart. That said, I made it without powdered sugar.
I would definitely make it again
