I think this is a really good chili. Not all chili's are the same. This one has very tomato taste. I can eat this for 4 days in a row. Didn't need cilantro or cheese.

It was tasty and the men in house enjoyed it. I added a can of beans in tomatoes sauce to try thicken it up more and didn’t have cumin so added a tsp or so of savoury. Will use this again as it was much faster then the crock pot and dinner in less then 30 mins..

Love this recipe. It's simple and easy to customize. I use this recipe all the time!

One of the best chilli recipes I've tried in a while. The cilantro was too much for my husband so I'll serve it on the side next time.

I used a slow-cooker instead of pressure cooker, it was amazing. I used a can of bushs baked beans in place of one black bean can, added maybe 3tbsp brown sugar, and added a little can of diced green chilis and a few tbsp of chipotle tabasco, was soo delicious. I Didn't have beer or oregano tho but was still so yummy. Cooked it for ~5 hours and was a great consistency (if too watery just boil off some more steam at low heat and stir once in a while to not burn the bottom)

Yummy! My family loved it. Adding it to our weekly recipes for the fall and winter.

One of the best chilli’s I’ve made so far! Added corn and various other veggies for texture, turned out great!

I thought the flavor was good, but turned out a bit watery. Will try again but with less broth.

This was missing something. It was still really good, but I felt like there was not enough flavor.

No fire! Not a lot of flavor, will make again but with a little less tomato purée and more chilies. Great consistency,

The recipe only works for pre-cooked beans. If you are using dry beans, you should use the “bean chili” setting on the Instant Pot. The recipe also calls for a lot of tomato paste and tomato purée. This caused my Instant Pot to set off the ‘burn’ setting multiple times. The overall flavor was good once it finally cooked.

I have been making my uncles crock pot recipe for as long as I’ve been adulting (almost 30 years) Well sorry Uncle Jim, I will never be waking at 6am to to get chili in the pot again! This was so quick and easy yet flavorful and delicious. Now I’m not a stickler for a zillion steps so I skipped the oil, IMO it wasn’t necessary with 85/15, I also sautéed my veggies and garlic with the meat. I added all dry ingredients at the same time then all wet. Like I said, I’m more of a 4-5 step kind of gal. My kids hate Uncle Jim’s chili and loved this. This is going into my rotation. Oh and I cut it in half to feed 2 adults and 2 young children. No left overs.
