Simple and easy to make. My layers went as Doritos, hamburger, cheese, lettuce, tomato, Doritos, hamburger, cheese. Everyone was happy with it. Baked well. We put it on nachos, topped with salsa and sour cream. Although good, nothing special. Might consider it again.

I’m pretty impressed with this recipe! Not only does it taste delicious, but I got to use up a bunch of leftovers in one dish! I had two bags of tortilla chip crumbs that I didn’t know what to do with, leftover taco meat, and a leftover black bean/corn mix. I threw all that in and got to use Roma tomatoes from the garden 👏. I was wondering what cooked lettuce would be like, but it turns out great! I used a taller Corning ware 7x7 dish. Only thing I should have done was pre-warm the taco meet because since it was cold I had cook for 45 minutes to get the meat warmed through enough. Still turned out great though. Will definitely be making again.

Fabulous! I used spicy nacho doritos, drained the grease from the beef, sprinkled the old El paso hot and spicy seasoning on top of the beef, added the cheeses and lettuce, and a drained can of rotel instead of tomatoes. It was delicious!

Love it! The family loved it too. I cooked 2lbs of meat. That was the only modification I made to the recipe. This would make a great dish for pot lucks.

I modified this a little bit! I used a bag of nacho cheese Doritos for the base crushed up. (The above directions cask for 7oz. but a full bag is only 9oz and I have a large baking dish so I used the whole bag). I cooked 2lbs of hamburger with 2 packets of Taco Bell taco seasoning and some dried minced onion. I put half the meat on top of the nacho cheese Doritos followed by a thin layer of shredded mozzarella cheese and a thin layer of a shredded 4 cheese Mexican blend. Then I put a thin layer of crushed Ranch Doritos followed by the other half of the meat mixture. Then another thin layer of the mozzarella cheese and then the 4 cheese Mexican blend. I cooked that about 10-15 min on 350*. Then I took it out and put the shredded lettuce and tomatoes I cut up. It took 2 small bags of lettuce and 3 tomatoes. Then I added what was left of the mozzarella cheese and the other cheese on top of that in a thin layer. Then I baked it a little more about 5 or so min until the cheese on top melted but the tomatoes and lettuce kept some crispness! I bought some sour cream and put it on our individual plates! This was so delicious!!!!! 5 stars definitely!

Left out the lettuce as the idea of cooked, wilted lettuce definitely didn't appeal but the rest was nice enough.

Great, I added onions when making the ground beef. This has turned into a regular dinner choice. All 5 kids and the hubby love it and it’s super easy to make.

So easy and less mess than regular tacos. Delicious. Will definitely use this recipe again.

Delicious, super easy, really quick to clean up (way less messy than tacos), & under $20.00
I replaced my tomatoes for some storebought pico de gallo, and mixed that with an avacado I had in my fridge.

I made it for a small birthday gathering and everyone enjoyed it. I added some olives before I put the top layer of cheese on and I offered sour cream when I served it. it didn't look exactly like the picture but it tasted really good. Would definitely make it again.
