perfect and adaptive. i reduced the sugar by half for a personal preference. and I added extra milk to make it like pancake batter for johnny cakes 🤗

Very good but I reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup. I also used the cornmeal mix, since it was all that I had

From experience, I have noticed that simple recipes of staple foods like this one are the best ones. I decided for this recipe because it was the simplest one I have found so far. So I went ahead and gave it a try and I loved it! I just made this recipe and I have to say it's delicious! The bread is soft, moist and fluffy.
The only thing I would modify is the amount of sugar. I like my cornbread to be sweet but not so much. I think 3/4 cups of sugar would do just fine; maybe 1/2 a cup if you don't really care about things too sweet. Other than that, no doubt I will be making this recipe again.
P.S. The cooking time was like 20-25 min.

easy.vegetable oil replaces butter - so low cholesterol. baked it in the skillet -- great crispy outsides.
reduced sugar to 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup.
