The recipe was very easy to made. I gave 4 stars because it is a little to sweet for my taste. Maybe 200 g of sugar would be enough. Will try next time.

Double the custard recipe because otherwise you get a thick crust and not a lot of lemon!

Definitely halve the shortbread part or double the custard. I doubled the custard recipe and it could almost have been tripled. I didn’t add the full amount of sugar as I like it tart and added powdered sugar on top. The flavour is so good and so easy to make

Echoing what others said, you could easily triple the custard recipe to get the thickness of the picture. As is, it's mostly dry shortbread. That said, the taste isn't terrible, just dry and disappointing if looking for a mouthful of rich, lemony, custard. Maybe next time reduce the shortbread and double the custard, baking in a smaller dish.

I recommend cutting the shortbread recipe in half so that the ratio of lemon filling to shortbread crust is equal. I’ve made several batches of this recipe and it is super easy and delicious.

It came out great. Maybe add more eggs and lemon for a thicker custard. was great I used a large aluminum container so maybe it was spread too thin too. Will try again for sure !

I halved the sugar and it was great! Next time I might half the dough because I personally like more of the lemon custard.

It was easy and very tasty! would definitely recommend it. The only change I made was less sugar by about 1/4 of a cup.

they are easy and taste great. letting them sit a while decreases the richness and gives a great lemon flavor!

Taste good! The first layer though is a little cookie feel maybe because I used a smaller pan and I over pushed it. But overall its so good! Taste is tangy and sweet!

great, very tasty. i should have used a smaller pan though because the sheet pan I used was too big and some of the custard ran off the crust. other than that they came out great.

Good. Easy to make. A bit more sugar in the curd (just to taste) and longer in the oven (12 min covered with foil but it was a big hit! And indeed easy to make.

These are great lemon bars. It's not like most lemon bars I've had. It's half shortbread, half lemon bar. Very tasty!

They were alright but I’ll definitely be trying a different recipe next time. The custard layer was too thin and the crust was too floury
