  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cold butter (do not substitute for margarine)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (* plus a little extra for sprinkling on top)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups chopped strawberries (washed and chopped into 1/8 inch bites)

    Not sure what happened. I used 1 cup of strawberries due to the repeated comments that the recipe called for too many. They rose in the oven, then popped all over the inside of my oven, then deflated. Now I'm sad about the muffins, but annoyed that I need to clean the oven.

    Turned out good, cooked and strained the strawberries before mixing them in, however there seemed to be way too much butter despite me using the amount listed.

    Nice texture and flavor, I added a handful of white chocolate chips to the mixture with the strawberries. The baked muffins stuck to the muffin paper... gotta figure out how to fix that issue. Yielding 18 muffins not 13... but I’m not complaining.
