It needed much more cheese and definitely do NOT use oregano in place of parsley. Terrible idea.

Very good! Followed diections on package for creamy grits using 2 cups water & 2 cups milk. Omitted oregano and parsley, but used all other seasonings. Followed directions for cooking in skillet, but did not finish with broiler. Hubby enjoyed it so much he ate 2 plates. Very tasty! Thanks for sharing!

When making the grits, I used half water and half milk for a creamier consistency. I also topped with a few shakes of Tony’s creole seasoning for added spice. Definitely a brunch favorite for my family!!!

excellent recipe but next time leaving out the oregano due to personal taste. it was overpowering just like a previous reviewer had felt ot would be and omitted it.
this is the closest to recreating sonny's bbq resturants version in South Lake Tahoe. the only dish i ever crave. i live in Las Vegas and have unlimited items to choose from and Sonnys shrimp n grits in tahoe is what i want. Seriously i get mad at myself sometimes.

It was super delicious! However, I’m happy I didnt use the suggested parsley/oregano measurements, it would have been overpowering

Awesome dish, the grits were creamy and I used fresh garlic instead of garlic powder to make the flavor a bit more pronounced. Don't be afraid to spice up the shrimp some more, it for sure can take it
