I’m no chef, but this made me look like I was. Phenomenal! It was time-consuming though. Just give yourself a good 90 min, it’s worth it. (Note: I used instant grits, using 1 part half and half to 4 parts water. I’m not skilled enough for real grits. It was still fantastic.)

Very tasty. I cooked the grits in 6 cups 1% milk, stirring constantly rather than water and half and half. I didn't bother with chicken broth. The shrimp released plenty of liquid while cooking. I am wondering, though, why the sauce is not more red. When I had this in South Carolina, the sauce was much more red. Perhaps it depends on the sausage or it's because I used a green and a yellow pepper.

The grits are amazing and will make again; added sharp cheddar and Parmesan. 1C would be perfect for 1 # of shrimp. Added cherry tomatoes, little Hungarian wax and sliced mushrooms.

Very yummy! It took time to cut all the veggies and get everything else prepped. Just spicy enough.

Delicious! Didn’t have grits, so used polenta. The gravy was so yummy! Spend the time to make a good roux.

Such a good recipe easy to follow and full of flavor . I left out the onion and it was still great

It turned out well. I reduced to 4 servings and used Tasso ham (preferred in SC recipe).

Great Recipe! Added fresh chopped jalapeño for taste and color. Would suggest to sauté shrimp separately.

I made this with a few tweaks, but it turned out delicious. I made polenta (didn't have grits) and didn't have bell peppers (so had broccolini on the side instead) and added mushrooms. Was spicy and flavourful!
