It turned out GREAT!! Since a couple of reviews showed that it lacked flavor, and was an average meal, I added 3 pds of hamburger meat for my family of 5, 1 package of beef and onion soup seasoning by Lipton and frozen mixed vegetables. I seasoned the hamburger meat with Lawry’s seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and black pepper. The Kosher salt is SALTY!!! I just added a very little. I cheated and used instant mash potatoes. I did not add salt to them and I used the unsalted butter. I made cornbread with this meal and now both pans are empty. My kids ate their veggies and it wasn’t forced.

It was good, not spectacular, but a solid weekday night recipe. My kids had seconds and thirds.

Really great recipe! I used my dutch oven for this and roastex garlic for the mashed potatoes. Next time i will double the meat and add more potatoes as it makes a smaller Pie
