    I was very excited to find this recipe as red velvet is a family favorite. The frosting and flavor was a hit, but I can tell you that the baking time listed is way off. No cake bakes in 16-22 minutes. I kept checking every 3 minutes and potentially overcooked it so it was drier than I liked. If you’re considering this cake, I’d follow baking time on your favorite cake recipe vs following this recipe. In 22 minutes, it was still raw batter. Don’t know if I’ll make this particular recipe again. Disappointing.

    The cake was moist and delicious but the frosting was a thin icing despite adding way more powdered sugar.

    It was delicious, very moist and full of flavour. There’s nothing worse than a dry cake but you won’t have that worry with this one. Very easy to make as well.
