I’ve made this 4+ times and it really is the best pot roast I’ve made- I also add lots of garlic and sub out red wine for whatever ETOH I have on hand at times and it’s still good.

This turned out really nice, the gravy was very flavorful and very easy to make. It was too sweet for my tastes though , I’d maybe use different onions and less carrots next time hopefully end up up a more savory gravy

THIS RECIPE WAS THE BEST POT ROAST RECIPE EVER!! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. HOWEVER, IT WAS JUST AN INGREDIENTS LIST, NO ACTUAL RECIPE OR INSTRUCTIONS. IT STILL CAME OUT GOOD. LEFT OUT THE CELERY, AND DIDN'T MAKE THE GRAVY AS IT WAS JUST DELICIOUS AS IT WAS!!

Stumbled across this as I was making Lee’s recipe, I was already planning on doing this exact same method also! So let me tell you this is a must do gravy! Take out that old wedding gift immersion blender and give this a try! I used more corn starch and added more salt and pepper. I also added roasted and peeled clove garlic to lee’s recipe.

Really great! I added more spices and garlic because it seemed a little bland. Next time I’ll add even more spices. Really easy, yummy, and was a crowd pleaser.

Easy to follow instructions. We used Angus roast so all that marbling makes for a great tender result. The picture is pre-roasting. Cast iron Dutch oven from Lodge. We might have covered the roast too much but it tasted great!

Fabulous!!! I added some celery and mushrooms to the mix for added flavor. Perfect!

It was delicious. The gravy was amazing. The meat was very tasty and tender. The vegetables were nicely cooked. I will make this again!
