This recipe came out amazing. I added my own twist to it: added 3 squares of 78% dark Lindt chocolate and i substituted the corn syrup with 1 1/4 cups of packed dark brown sugar dissolved in 1/4 cup of hot water. As soon as the sugar melted well into the water, I let it cool for a few minutes and popped the pieces of chocolate right into the pot. I mixed it up, added it when the recipe said to and followed the rest of the steps. I honestly was worried it would taste horrible when I took it out of the oven and looked at it butttt it came out soooo yummy haha but I would definitely recommend this recipe all the way; plus it’s less messy and time consuming then an actual pecan pie (so why wouldn’t ya make it?)
