- 4 cups pasta (cooked and drained, approximately 2 cups uncooked; penne, cavatappi, or rigatoni works well)
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups cheese (grated, cheddar, Colby jack, Swiss, or a combination, with 1/2 cup reserved for sprinkling on top)

This was tasteless like the other reviews said. I added some extra spices but still very blah.

Everyone went back for seconds. I seasoned my chicken with a lot of flavor - probably helped keep it flavorful. Would make again for sure. I paired it with a vegetable and garlic toast.

I am disappointed, it’s too plain. It needs something to add flavor. I land it’s too dry

I thought this casserole came out fine. I found it much dryer than I expected, and the flavour was muted. Fairly tasty, but I wouldn’t make it again.

This was really good and my husband loved it. I used chopped green chile instead of chili flakes, but I used too small of an amount. Can definitely get away with more next time. Or, if you want a bit of spice, but don’t want chili flakes, try using some hot sauce. I put in too much chicken, so it wasn’t as saucy as I would have liked, but I could have adjusted the milk and sour cream to make it more saucy. I just didn’t. Lessons learned. The cheese was wonderful, but again I could have added more to adjust for having more chicken. Very easy to make and it fills you up fast because of the pasta mixed with the chicken. Great dish.
Edit: My husband asked me to make this dish again (two days after I made it the first time…lol) and I made sure I had enough sauce, green Chile and cheese. It was even better the second time around and the family agreed that the second time was the charm. Very, very yummy.

Made this tonight using bowtie pasta and cheddar since that’s what I had and it was good and simple.
