    Made it and was happy with it. Of the three members of my family two are on diets that this recipe goes against. They tried it and came back for full seconds and excused it as their “cheat” days. If you aim to please your family or company this is a great dish to add to your meal plans. This will be a regular recipe for me.

    It was good. I didn’t add nutmeg and used fat free half and half. I think I’ll try different cheese next time.

    You’ll need to steam your broccoli first. Not too much. It will cook some in the pot but it won’t cook through if you add it raw like the directions say. Also, to avoid the grainy texture, cook your soup low and slow. If your heat is too high the cheese won’t melt properly and you’ll get a grainy texture. Taste your soup as you go. When it comes to seasoning, kosher salt is always best.

    flavor is amazing but, despite making this several times now, it Always comes out a bit grainy. I can't firgure out why. Has anyone else run into this problem?

    I doubled the recipe and used whole milk instead of half and half. Added extra salt and pepper with a bit of red pepper flakes. Did a mixture of cheddar and colby jack with a splash of hot sauce. This was so delicious! 😍

    Needs more flavor. And steam veggies first otherwise they’re a bit crunchy still. Maybe try with a couple of cheeses.

    Made this recipe for the first time for an chilly fall afternoon, outdoor, socially distanced, memorial service. I did replace the chicken broth with vegetable broth to make it vegetarian. It was amazing! There were so many compliments. That was the only empty pot at the end of the day... maybe next time I will get to personally try it before it’s all gone.

    Made as is initially, and it was thick and rather bland. I ended up almost doubling the cheese, adding some more broth and added salt until the flavor was right. Great base recipe though!

    The soup itself was very flavourful and definitely tasted like the Panera one. The Panera one though, is a little bit too heavy in my opinion so I added some more broth to make the soup lighter.

    Mine had a little too much broccoli flavor but added about 1/4 cup more of cheese and it was perfect. I also toasted some French bread slices to dip into the soup!

    So good. Blended a little more than a cup so the kids would eat it. A delicious hack! Thanks for saving me a trip to Panera!
