I made this recipe as-is (except cut the sugar to only 1/2 cup and used 1 c spelt flour, 1 c white flour) then when it was cooling I added some of my favorite oat milk vanilla creamer on top and let it soak overnight to make it an apple leche cake… so good!

Excellent! Yes-the batter was dry but the apples kept the cake moist in cooking I cut the sugar back just as personal preference

Turned out great, a bit like crumb cake. Used half of sugar, and it still was very sweet, nicely.

very good but a little too sweet although i already did 1/4 cup less sugar than called for

Chewy but good, I madd half of the recipe and added some oats, first time doing it but its very convenient if you ran out of milk/eggs but still want to bake something appley
