This apple cake is great It’s really soft and moist I only used 1.5 cups of sugar instead of 2 and it was definitely sweet enough You can really taste the apple which melts into the cake The caramel sauce is a great addition It also only needed 35 minutes to cook for me so I would check on it after 30 mins

This is an outstanding apple cake… This cake is so delicious. I made one of these for my wife’s employee potluck dinner at the hospital. They loved it so much, I now have folks paying me to make them to take home! I didn’t mean for this to turn into a side hustle!!!

This is truly the BEST apple dessert I have ever had!!! I plan to make it again this weekend when friends come over! There’s just one problem….I can’t stop eating (rather overeating) it!!

I’ve made this twice now and it’s THE best “apple dessert”!! I recommend pairing it with some vanilla bean ice cream but so not necessary.

Great recipe moist and delicious, added a little coarse Icelandic salt on top of the caramel topping for that wonderful salted caramel taste!

Turned out well. The cake texture had a nice mouth feel, at room temperature, but refrigerated….the caramel sauce then crystallizes. For me it was just way too sweet.

Good, not as sweet as I thought it would be when I read the recipe. I think I will add chopped pecans to the topping next time

Freaking awesome The top is kind of flaky and crispy I didn’t make the topping it seems to be sweet enough without it Might be good with some vanilla ice cream or whipped topping If I didn’t want to top it but I think it’s fine just the way it is
I did throw in some cinnamon nutmeg and cloves to the dry ingredients
Will definitely be making this again

Followed directions exactly and did add the amount of cinnamon suggested. Found it to lack flavor and was overly sweet. I love sweet but with no other flavors to accompany it, the sweetness was just to much.

My favorite cake I’ve made in quarantine so far! (And we’ve been making a LOT of cakes). I’m not much of a cook or baker, so I liked that this recipe was easy to follow. Everyone in the family loved it! I did substitute applesauce for half of the butter, and think that made it even more moist.

This turned out GREAT! The whole family loved it. Each agreed it was delicious and moist. I made a pound cake today too, but I completely over baked it and it turned out dry and dense. This was a great refresh over a disappointing dessert.
I baked at 350 for 40-45 minutes instead of 55 minutes. It would’ve been over baked if I hadn’t. Came out clean after 40-45 mins and turned out wonderful. I’m definitely going to make this again!

Wayyyyy too sweet, and the caramel tasted more like butterscotch. No one in my family of four liked it, which is highly unusual since we all have different tastes.
