Was a delicious cake and very easy to make! Better than anything you can buy store bought. Would make again, but would try with a decaf coffee next time since my mom doesn't want caffeine
    Turned out really good

It is so moist and delicious! I used a nonstick spray instead of butter and flour and the cake got stuck on the bottom. So next time I’m going to do what the directions say and try the butter and flour for a non stick cake;)
Best f**kin chocolate cake ever. Retains moisture like a champ and becomes more flavorful as time passes. Don’t waste your precious life minutes icing this with vanilla, that’s a travesty—do it up with chocolate cream cheese buttercream.

I've been looking for recipes to change around for the diet I'm on, and wanted to take a crack at chocolate cake. I made it as written except I substituted whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose, and I used one cup of Splenda and a tablespoon of nutmeg instead of 2 cups of sugar. I also brewed the coffee really strong. The cake was chocolaty, slightly sweet, and the texture was phenomenal, like halfway between a brownie and a mousse. I served each slice warmed up and then topped with a spoonful of instant jello chocolate pudding (also sugar free) 100% will make again.

Was ok, made cupcakes as they are an easy grab-and-go for the kids. Definitely moist but almost to eggy tasting.

Very moist. This is the 2nd time I have made it. This time I am mixing it with a vanilla cake, to make a checkered cake.

It turned out great. The moisture was the appropriate amount and it felt nice in the mouth. I added a heavy cream and cream cheese filling myself and it turned out very good. I recommend the recipe ;)

Delicious moist and light. Tied for favorite with the red Kona Inn banana bread which I've made for years

Fantastic!!! I make my own buttermilk using a cup of milk and a 1 tablespoon of lime juice. I absolutely love this cake. The moist texture of this cake is amazing. It is not a heavy cake, so use care when removing from the cake tin to ensure that you don't brake your cake.

Best cake ever. I will be making it again. The fluffy frosting recipe was also a huge hit. Very good!
