These super-moist beef meatballs are completely grain-free and keto diet-friendly. Try them on their own in marinara sauce, or with cooked spaghetti squash or barely cooked zoodles instead of traditional pasta. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.


  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 lb. 85% lean ground beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup almond flour (finely ground)
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 4 oz. grated Parmesan cheese (4 oz. is 1 generous cup, for meatballs)
  • 1 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 jar no sugar added marinara sauce (24 oz. per jar)
  • grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • fresh basil leaves (or parsley, optional, for serving)

    Turned out pretty good. I’m going to put this in my folder for next month too. I added a few more spices to it, like garlic powder, red chili flakes and paprika for color.
    such a simple and delicious recipe, I added too much Italian seasoning but other then that it was perfect, best keto dinner I've had so far.

    I can't speak highly enough about this recipe. These meatballs turned out great! We used ground turkey and it worked well. We used Rao marinara sauce and it was fantastic too! We couldn't wait to eat the leftovers for lunch the following day.

    It’s a nice easy recipe and quick to make. I add Rao’s sauce and riced cauliflower and add some shredded mozzarella on top.

    I have made these a few time now and each time they have been a hit!! I do use 1 lb beef and 1 lb sausage instead of 2 pounds beef. Other then hat I stick the the recipe and it’s amazing!

    Amazing!!! I did .5 cup parmasean and .5 cup pecorino Romano and A LOT OF GARLIC (because Italian)
