This was excellent. I followed and used ingredients as directed. The only thing I didn’t do the same was the mashed potatoes. I used a dry mix. Not a good idea. I didn’t have enough potatoes. Also homemade mashe would have tasted soooo much better. I will make again but use my own mashed.

I’ve made this recipe multiple times and I absolutely love it! I add mushrooms in with the meat and veg. This is now a staple in my house.

Love, love, love this recipe - have made multiple times. People in my office compliment the reheated leftovers based on smell alone, lol. You can cheat and use instant potatoes, but it's sooo much better with homemade.

Perfect, delish especially the next day. I think crisping the ground beef was key to flavor and texture. I used fresh made mashed not boxed takes a little longer to brown but worth it.

It turned out great! My husband liked the smell of it so much that he didn’t want me to finish it in the oven before eating it. Fortunately I had kept the meat mixture hot on the stove while mashing the potatoes.

This was a really good dish! I seasoned the meat with brown sugar and bourbon. This was the second time I made it and i will make it again

Excellent rich flavor. My son commented that it was the best Shepherd’s Pie I’ve ever made!

Great... A first for me and it turned out amazing. Surely would make this dish again...

Turned out perfectly. I have a child with a dairy allergy, so I made the potatoes with chicken broth. Left off the cheese until serving. Great flavor and consistency. Will make again.

It was a great base recipe! I added a few things and removed the peas because gross. I also like to season the meat, so I changed a few steps.

Family loved it! Fun to make, not too hard. I actually tripled the amount of mashed potatoes, and used instant mashed potatoes. Had some leftover red wine to enjoy with it!

I have been just winging my Shepherds Pie recipe for years from an old family recipe. This beats that by a mile. Amazing!!

I'm not generally a fan of Shepards (Cottage) Pie, but I really liked this recipe. It takes a bit of prep work, but totally worth it! My 6 year old granddaughter liked it, even the carrots. I will make again!

It was delicious. I used only 1/2 an onion instead of 2 whole onions. I also added mushrooms.
I deleted the celery. I used frozen peas, carrots and corn.
Will definitely make this again
