  • 1 tsp. dried oregano

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1/2 lb. ground veal
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs (fresh, recipe below)
  • 3 Tbsp. fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 slices crusts (firm Italian bread, removed, let them sit out for about an hour to firm up)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly)
  • 10 cups marinara sauce (fresh)
