  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 pkg. hash brown potatoes (total of 1 lb frozen diced, you could sub with finely chopped sweet potatoes)
  • 2 pkg. chicken sausages (8 count each al fresco breakfast, country style)
  • 2 red bell peppers (diced/cut into 1 inch cubes)
  • 1 green bell pepper (diced/cut into 1 inch cubes)
  • 1/2 onion (finely diced, I used a red onion, but a yellow or white onion would work as well)
  • 2 cups baby spinach (chopped)
  • 1 cup jack cheese (shredded cheddar, optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley (finely chopped for topping, optional)

    Great comfort meal. The flavors are really wonderful. I recommend adjusting the timing based on how your slow cooker cooks.

    Delicious! I cut the recipe in half, and used chorizo instead of chicken sausage. It turned out amazing, will definitely be making it again!
