  • 8 oz. cremini mushrooms (stems trimmed and sliced 1/4 inch thick)
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter (1/4 stick)
  • 1 yellow onion (medium, small dice)
  • 2 garlic cloves (medium, finely chopped)
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 4 cups low sodium beef broth (or stock)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt (plus more as needed)
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper (plus more as needed)
  • 8 oz. egg noodles (dried)
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian parsley leaves (finely chopped fresh)

    I added salt and pepper to taste, and added a little bit of heavy cream, it ended up with a really good flavor, but this called for WAY too much liquid. Use 2 cups of beef broth instead of four and you might avoid ending up with stroganoff soup. Good taste, wrong consistency.

    It was good, but took a long time. 4 cups of beef broth is too much. i added more than 3 tbsp and then a bit more, and then had to boil it for awhile to get it thick enough. I would have added a bit more sour cream if I had had some. My old recipe is easier and just as good.

    Pretty good flavor and especially easy to prepare. I only used 1/3 cup of sour cream and 2 cups of the broth. I’m definitely going to be making it again.

    Very tasty!! With all the “add salt/pepper” in the different steps, I was worried it would get too salty/peppery, but was perfect! Substituted plain greek yogurt for the sour cream and still tastes great! Will definitely make it again!

    Pretty good. I read some of the comments and added a couple more teaspoons of flour. I used BabyBella mushrooms, chopped (my sons request). I used beef consommé, instead of wine. Turned out really nice.

    Tasty! I added one extra tablespoon of flower after I put the noodles in as I was afraid it would not be thick enough. I pulled some of the broth out with the flour and then slowly added to the pot. It was perfect. I would make this again!

    Super easy, creamy and yummy! I only had chicken broth and stock so I used those instead of the beef broth and it still worked fine. I also added zucchini like another reviewer had suggested. Turned out really well and made enough to last me a few days!

    This was really, really good. I don't think I will ever make stroganoff any other way again. Very satisfying and very RICH. You'll want a big refreshing salad with this. So worth the splurge though.
