The recipe says that a serving has 85 mg of sodium. Creole seasoning itself (at least the only brand I could find) has 340 mg of sodium per 1/4 tsp. Recipe calls for 2 TBSPS! That’s 580 mg per serving. So be careful if you are on a low sodium diet!

Fantastic! I usually can take the spice but next time I will bring the creole down to one tablespoon. I used turkey kielbasa, bacon and lentils and it was smack in the kisser tasty!!

This dish was great I made my own Cajun seasoning from a recipe on Yummly. I will make this one of my staple recipes very tasty and spicy I used about half the rice

Meh. Fine, but nothing particularly special. I found it too dry. Our household used a condiment their choice to provide some moisture.

Fantastic!! Never considered it before. In December there was a night there was no frozen meat of any kind in the house. I only had about a pound of stew meat. I looked on the Yummly App for recommendations for leftover stew meat. This was one of the recipes that popped up. I was thrilled because it was free of all our food allergies (10). I was able to sub ground meat for the stew meat. Immediate hit with me and the highschoolers! Thank you.

Great. It was really good and me and the whole family loved it! The only thing I would recommend is using 3 Tablespoons of the spice instead of 2.

I added more beef. I also needed to make do with an improvised creole seasoning mix of an assortment of spices. My family had second and third helpings.

My 12yr old son/chef added a couple Tbsps of brown sugar and a Tbsp of ketchup (I was skeptical) but it took this recipe to the next level. It was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet.

I really enjoyed the flavor. I took the advice of a person who said it was a little spicy and only added 1 TBSP of creole seasoning. Perfect. My husband who likes things a little spicer was able to add some kick to his.

We altered the recipe by adding carrots, doubled the amount of other vegetables, cut the rice down to three cups, and added 4 TBSP of Creole seasoning. It was delicious!
