I love this recipe. I did add a splash of vanilla and a few drops of almond extract ‘cause that’s how my dad, who was a great baker, taught me to flavor a yellow cake.

I used butter all around and I found the outside got a little hard before the cake was completely cooked

so good and so easy. I use to let pound cakes intimidate me, but boy was I wrong. Awesome taste and super simple.

I swapped 1/2 butter for 1/2 cup of margarine, also added 2 tablespoons of Vanilla Extract. The cake turned out a bit “too moist” for me, but everyone else liked it. Will try this recipe again with the correct amount of margarine soon!

So yummy!! Easy recipe for beginners. Comes out moist and buttery!! Mine cooked perfectly in 1 hr and 15 mins, so according to how your oven cooks, you may want to check on it after 1 hr.

Delicious! Recipe very easy to follow. I had to leave my cake in the oven a little longer than the instruction stated. Overall, I will be making this again.
