Pretty good base recipe. Need to add more sugar and vanilla extract but overall good base. A lot of ppl are trying to obtain the actual consistency and fluffiness as a carnival funnel cake but it’s not going to be the same. The majority of those, clearly, have a different recipe. We all know they’re usually thicker but light at the same time. Please stop bashing someone because you tried their recipe, BECAUSE YOU NEEDED TO FIND ONE YOURSELF, but didn’t like it. If you can do better, please post your recipe and we’ll all try it.

You must add more liquid and sugar The mix is too thick and needs more sugar

I don’t know if I over mixed but it turned out too tough and the batter was really thick so I had to use a ziplock Bag to squeeze the batter out. Even adding some milk still was too thick. Anyways next time I will definitely add vanilla because it makes the difference. Overall the recipe was average.

Love this easy recipe! I’ve made it twice now, once without the vanilla and once with. Both are good but the vanilla does help. I used a ziplock bag with a corner cut off to drizzle the batter into the pan. Also, if you are only wanting to make a few, I would suggest cutting the recipe in half which for me makes 3 decent sized funnel cakes.

It turned out delicious! Better than the fair!

Wonderful! I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract and about 1/4 cup more milk to thin the batter so I could use a condiment squeeze bottle. Turned out perfect, just like at the fair.

This recipe was very easy and tasty I added vanilla and thinking about trying almond extract next time I nursed this recipe for a fundraiser for our church Pathfinder Club to go to Oshkosh and everyone loved them and kept saying how delicious they were! Thank you for sharing!

Amazing. It tastes much better with vanilla extract. It’s a trial and error type of recipe. My first funnel cake was a fail but I was able to make 7 with this recipe.

i tried it put but it didn't turn out right at all. maybe its cuz i dirnt use the right oil or heat but it dient have the same taste as the usual ones. Terrible tasting to me

Not quite the right consistency for a funnel cake.. missed a lot of the flavor and chewiness of what a funnel cake normally has. But if your looking for a lighter tasting version this is it.
