Best French onion recipe I’ve ever had. Full of flavor and easy to make. Great for all who love French onion soup!

Everyone loved this so much. Used Swiss cheese instead of gruyere and it was still very yummy.

Fantastic! Did half the recipe for two people and fit perfectly into the Le Creuset soup bowls

Very good, but a little too salty. Next time I think I’ll use a little less butter and a little less salt.

Delicious 😋
I added a few drops if Worcestershire sauce to the onions and then a touch of brandy before adding the flour. Will definitely make it again!

I added bay leaf, ginger, warchestershire, garlic, and chicken stock. I also substituted avocado oil for the vegetable oil.
tasted great!

Too much butter, too mich stock, took over an hour to carmalize onions, and not quite enough flavor. will not try this recipe again

Overall it turned out well but it took longer than stated for preparing the ingredients.

it was good, but needed some additions. I cooked off some bourbon in the onions and later on added Worcestershire sauce (just a few splashes), to give it a bit more depth of flavor. without that, it was tasting a bit like just stock and onions.

Tasted great but felt like I needed an extra zing so I added two teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce and it was perfect. Will definitely make again! Hubby loved it and said it was restaurant quality.

I made this for myself one afternoon when I wasn’t feeling great, my kids got home from school and ate it all! They LOVED it!

The soup was delicious. I added a touch of Merlot and topped with gruyere. Ate way too much!

Was delicious! My husbands favorite soup and he ate 2 bowls. Easy but does take some time.

Didn't like it, but this is the first time I have ever made french onion soup so idk, but it was sort of bland I like my french onion soup packed with flavor.
