Extra-cheesy vegetarian baked spaghetti is easy, filling, and fit for a crowd! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • salt (for pasta water)
  • 16 oz. low-moisture ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for ricotta mixture)
  • 3/4 tsp. salt (for ricotta mixture)
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for spaghetti)
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella (sliced 1/8-inch thick)
  • 6 oz. provolone cheese (or 6 slices)

    Did my best to spice up the sauce, but it was still a bit bland. Maybe not enough sauce, was too dry for my liking. It’s missing something. My daughter loved it though.

    This could really use some homemade sauce, or at least some garlic, tomato paste, anything really to amp up the flavor. This is pretty good for picky eaters or kids though, lots of cheese… Not bad, didn’t love it, probably won’t do again.

    i made mine slightly different. as im not a hug fan of ricotta. i used mozzarella cheese (and added hamburger) it was amazing!!!
