I cut the recipe in half, added a pinch of sugar, pepper, thyme and 1 teaspoon of sherry. I used 3 cups of water and 5 beef bullion cubes and simmered it for about 20 minutes. I used a sliced baguette and a good helping of gruyere cheese and popped the bowls under the broiler! Oh my goodness! We’ll be making this again for sure!

This recipe was awesome I added a little bit of pepper and two bay leaves. I also added one extra garlic clove.

Delicious. I ended up using eight cups of broths instead of six and also I forgot the shallots but it still is very good. Will make again.
