  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup organic coconut oil (unrefined, or organic canola oil, or melted vegan buttery spread)
  • 2/3 cup non dairy milk (I used SO Delicious unsweetened coconut milk)
  • 3 Tbsp. coconut milk yogurt (vanilla, * I used SO Delicious brand)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup vegan buttery spread
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 3 Tbsp. beet (puree**)
  • 3/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (I used Enjoy Life mini-chocolate chips)
