Awesome! This is my go to chocolate cake recipe. Love it, comes out perfect every time and always is the first dessert gone.

The cake was delicious and moist but when I made the pudding it didn’t set, even after leaving it in the fridge overnight. I ended up having to reheat and add a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken and chilled the pan over a bowl of ice.

I think it would have been good just doing either 2 layers or 4. Not sure the crumbled cake added much to it. But the cake was moist and great flavor. The pudding was also very good. So over all we really liked it.

fantastic! be prepared for lost of pudding! it was really good. substituted sone of the butter for a hot oil concoction (olive oil with scotch bonnet peppers. leave it sit for a day or so)). adds a nice twist!

I made this as a cake and also have done cupcakes as well. Everyone goes crazy for it, super moist and delicious. I used regular milk instead of buttermilk unless I just happened to have expired milk in the fridge. I also just make two layers of cake and use the pudding for frosting. I blend up oreos and put that on top of the pudding instead of cake crumbs. I actually made this cake the first time for my boyfriend's birthday about a month after we started dating. I think it played a part in his deciding we would eventually be married 😂

Waaaaaay too bitter! The mixes were watery but rose, but the cake was so bitter
