This is excellent and reminded us of the pineapple chicken we could get when we lived overseas. It is tasty and not too sweet.

The sauce is 5 stars, but the directions for breading the chicken to fry them create a sticky mess if you simply “stir the flour in and fry it”. I think it should be worded that the chicken pieces should be individually dipped into the flour and cornstarch mixture to be coated and fried. Other than that, the recipe is delicious. We added fresh ground ginger, red and green bell peppers, and green onions to the sauce.

Five stars! Its was sooooo delish and everyone (besides my vegetarian husband) enjoyed it! The sauce thickened up well and the chicken fried well. We had to replace the corn/canola oil with grape seed oil. I'm sure it did not make a difference. My personal favorite part was soft little chunks of pineapple in the sauce. Thank you for this great recipe!

I didn’t follow the exact recipe. I used good quality frozen battered chicken breast pieces(due to time), once those were done I tossed them with the soy sauce & sesame seed oil combo to coat all the pieces. I did follow the pineapple brown sugar sauce mixture & it was good. I then mixed everything together & the taste was really good. The pepper made it taste a bit spicy. But I liked this!

was easy to make. i used coconut oil to fry the chicken. i steamed broccoli and believe it was a pretty healthy meal. my husband, who can be very picky, loved it

It was delicious. I definitely suggest slowly adding the flour and cornstarch to chicken. I also suggest slowly adding the cornstarch to the water when making the sauce.

Turned out well. The sauce was a little thick. I would add less corn starch next time I make this recipe.

Such a good meal! Ive made it several times now but I use 3 chicken breasts and add a little more pineapple for flavor. One of my favorite means!

Loved it. Followed the easy recipe, though only using 1 chicken fillet for 2 with excellent results. Thanks for sharing, will be making again very soon.....yummy

This turned out amazing!! We will definitely be making this again. We used more pineapples than asks for and didn't have time to let it sit for two hours in the fridge but it turned out just fine!
