Turned out really good. Adding your own seasonings helps, just think Asian when doing so. It’ll come out right.

Really tasty!! I added some garlic with oil and butter to the pan just before putting the chicken in. Super easy.

Recipe was easy to follow and turned out great. Great flavor and paired well with rice and steamed broccoli. You can marinade the chicken in a bowl easier in the day to cut down on prep time for dinner. Only had to clean a cutting board and the dutch oven.

I followed the recipe exactly and it was to the Moon and Back Wonderful!!!! Thank you, Thank you and quick and good dinner. Next time I may marinade it longer. Ran out of time.

I wonder why the recipe called for no searing of the chicken? I ended up searing the chicken(2 Thighs) in this sauce and let it sit. Cooked up some rice and added the left over sauce into the rice, along with red cabbage, carrots, fried eggs, and the chicken and slow cooked it on the stove top for another 15-20 min --- Absolutely amazing. PS. Does not hurt to splash a little apple cider vinegar for the fond.

This recipe was a total bummer. I followed the recipe to a T and here are the problems: first off, I should have listened to my gut about putting chicken thighs in the oven without searing them first. Adding all of the marinade with spaced chicken in a casserole dish will result in grey, boiled chicken. I had to drain the liquid from the marinade 10 minutes in, they were swimming. It won’t look anything like the photo. Do this instead: after the chicken has marinated, sear thighs in a cast iron pan about 3 minutes each. Then, pop into the oven, with the pan, 10 minutes each side, until cooked through. This will give you the sticky, gooey thighs you’re looking for. Unfortunately, my chicken is irredeemable.

This turned out well. My husband is enthusiastic about the possibility of leftovers tonight. Always a plus when he is happy enough to eat another meal the next day. The hardest part was putting this in my Dutch oven, in other words, extremely easy to prep, assemble, and get into the oven. Served this with rice and a light white wine. Clean up was easy, too. I better up this to 5-star rating. You will love the ease of this recipe and put it on the menu for all those hectic days.
