Will def be making again!! Made some mods
- added more seasonings. Used Montreal steak seasoning in beef. Added garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt, and Italian seasoning throughout.
- ended up using a cup of each carrot, onion celery etc. so ended up adding more broth.
- mixed milk in the roux then mixed in soup.

Cheese was difficult to taste. Tasted mostly of potatoes. I used Velveeta, maybe it would have been better if I used cheddar. Also needed some spice, maybe jalapeños.

I thought this was really good but save yourself some time and washing dishes… this recipe can be done in one pot.
Brown beef, onions, carrots at the same time (no need for the extra pan)
Add broth and potatoes bring to boil and simmer till potatoes are tender.
If you want the soup thicker after adding cheese add 1tb of cornstarch to some water.
Didn’t use the fake cheese

It was fantastic. Instead of potato I added diced cauliflower. I also added Montreal Steak seasoning instead of salt and pepper. I chopped a tomato and we added that on the top. Delicious!

Made it for my wife for 4th of July after she had jaw surgery and couldn’t eat actual cheeseburgers, hot dogs, etc. People were actually jealous of her meal after tasting it. I used canned potatoes instead of fresh and added diced, canned tomatoes b/c a cheeseburger needs some tomato.

Best. Soup. Ever!!
I followed the measurements very loosley and pretty much just doubled it.
Here’s what I did:
- 2 pounds ground beef with a splash of olive oil and seasoned with cavendars Greek seasoning to taste, Himilayan Pink salt, and cracked black pepper
- a whole chopped onion
- a whole bag of shredded carrots
- a whole stalk of celery
- tons of basil and parsley
- 4 tbsp butter
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 8 Yukon gold potatoes
- 3/4 cup flour (rough measurement guess)
- 32 oz velveeta cheese (the whole block)
AND
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (the whole bag)
** No milk- it was soupy enough **
- 3/4 cup sour cream (rough measurement guess)
Mainly just did all of that because I’m a lazy cook and couldn’t be bothered to measure everything out and because I knew if I used partial bags of stuff the rest would go to waste. And honestly, I am NOT a cook but I really impressed myself with this! This is a recipe for any and all skill levels! The only change I would make is to cut my potatoes into smaller chunks and I should have cooked them for a shorter amount of time because I think the Yukon gold ones cook faster than the russet poataoes I usually use. Anyways, make it! You won’t regret it!

Easy and good!! I added maybe a half cup more water since I only had a 32 oz of broth plus a chicken bouillon cube… didn’t have celery so I added a can of petite diced tomatoes. 2-3 tbsp diced garlic. Rich and lucious! The smells in my kitchen shouldn’t be legal! Pictures never do food justice!

I didn’t have sour cream so I skipped that and it was delicious. I’m excited to make it again with the sour cream to see what kind of kick it gives.

This was very nice. we agreed it reminded us of Hamburger Helper but felt lighter and less processed.

great soup, doubled it, used 4cups cheddar jack mix, 3tbsp minced garlic instead , 8 oz cream cheese, and heavy whipping cream instead of milk. serving it in a restaurant

We loved it. The one request I got from the family was more meat. I used a pound of ground beef. I will use a pound and a half next time. I may use ground turkey as well. I used more seasoning than what was called for. I seasoned the meat, then the veggies, and then the potatoes. The flavor was perfect.

My wife said it was restaurant quality lol. Some changes I made were I added 16oz velveeta and about the same of shredded sharp cheddar. I also doubled the stock, put about 2 Tbs of Italian seasoning instead of the basil and added red pepper flake.

Turned out great! I don’t measure ingredients. I typically just eye things or purposely add more or less of something based on my personal preferences. Sometimes I’ll add extra things as well, but this recipe is great! It offers plenty of flexibility too for those that like to experiment in the kitchen.

I followed all directions and it was very good. I will definitely be making this again and again

This was DELICIOUS and very easy! It makes a lot! We’ll be eating it a few days and probably I’ll halve it next time since there’s two of us and it doesn’t freeze well.

Awesome meal!! The kids were skeptical because of the name but once they tried it, it was GONE.
