  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups buttermilk (530ml)
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten, room temperature preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled, 57g)

    awesome, although they were not buttwr milk and i didnt have baking soda. instead i used instant yeast, some warm milk. thr pancakes turned out soft and fluffy, i loved them!

    First time ever making buttermilk pancakes and I’m an experienced home cook. These came out perfect! The only thing I would recommend is using a griddle top without cooking spray. There is enough butter in the batter to get a light brown outside without burning or sticking. Otherwise, this one is going into my collection!

    Soo good. Added 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg and substituted buttermilk with 1 1/2 cup 2% + 3/4 cup eggnog and made Christmas pancakes! - so yummy.

    Easy and delicious. The tip on “just mix until combined” was a helpful because I don’t really get the hang of not over mixing the batter.

    I used the lemon to make buttermilk. This recipe produced the best pancakes I’ve ever made! Light, fluffy, tasty pancakes like you’d get at the 50 year old diner!!

    Followed the recipe except for the butter. I used salted butter as one other reviewer did. This recipe was a hit with my family and they are tough pancake critics. Made them in a cast iron skillet and put a little bit of butter in the skillet after each pancake made. That helped add a little crisp around the edges. Will make again!!!
