- Season the prime rib liberally on all sides with salt and black pepper.
- Line a roasting pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil and position a roasting rack inside of it.
- Transfer the prime rib fat side up to the middle of the roasting rack. Tent the prime rib loosely with foil, and allow it to stand at room temperature for 1-2 hours.

Used this as a rub for our 9 lb bone-in, which we also injected with garlic herb butter, and stuffed with 1 lb bacon and 4-5 cloves of fresh garlic. BBQ'd this.

Added some mustard powder to make more to my taste but was a great guide and the results were delicious.

It turned out frikken amazing. I made it for Christmas and it was like eating at steak house. (SALTGRASS is my favorite) and I made some creamy horseradish sauce to go along with it. I think I fell into a food coma afterwards because I couldnt eat anymore.
