Instead of ice cream, I served it over French toast for breakfast. My girlfriend has sent pictures off to her daughter and friends bragging that her boyfriend makes her a flambé for breakfast. I would say it came out fantastic. The only thing I will change for the next attempt is 3/4 of a stick of butter. There was too much oil in my opinion. But, overall flavor was excellent and consistency was really good

Could have been my fault. My sauce separated and then there were hard bits in it. I shouldn't have left the bananas in as long as the recipe called for. They got soggy, and they were not that ripe. I didn't lit the rum. Flavor was ok, but it was not all I had hoped for.
