Absolutely delicious!! I didn't have a big enough pan so I used a narrow 9x13 pan and a small 8x8, put the larger pan in the freezer and left the smaller one out just to see if there was any major differences. I've never heard of the freezer method but it was an eye opener! Both cakes were delicious but the freezer made the cake super moist (and sometimes I prefer cold cake) and it was a unanimous winner with the fam. Would definitely make again.

First, frosting was AMAZING. The lemon zest gives it this tang without actually making it too lemony. Second, cake - even when baked as cupcakes instead - is moist/tasty. I wouldn’t argue with the op about a thing!

Amazing! Followed the recipe and it turned out delicious. The icing is the best and not pungently sweet

Very easy and very delicious recipe. For the frosting i did use both lemon juice and vanilla and I didn’t use as much powder sugar. I think only 2 cups. I also added walnuts because I have to have nuts with banana anything. It was a huge hit with the fam and will be making this for the holidays

Delicious! Cake was dense, but still very good. I added a little extra lemon juice, it lightened the frosting a bit

Very good, very dense as most banana cakes are. I’m thinking this cake needs to be refrigerated after it’s cooled?

I made this cake yesterday and it was really good. Even my daughter who does not like fruity cakes found it yummy. I put a little more lemon juice in the frosting and only a little bit of butter, which gave a nice tangy aftertaste after the sweetness of the bananas. Will make again!

This cake was incredible. I didn’t add the lemon flavor to the frosting, just regular cream cheese frosting but it was delicious. One of the best cakes I’ve ever made.

This was sooo good. I did not have lemon juice so I used plain yogurt in place of it for the cake, and vanilla yogurt in the frosting in place of the lemon juice. It turned out beautifully.

This is so delicious I want to smack myself! They only thing I did differently was, I made cupcakes. I kept the temperature at 350 for about 20 minutes. It makes 36 cupcakes.

this cake was moist and my husband loved it. i swapped out the regular sugars for diabetic sweetners . It was moist and had wonderful banana flavor. definatly will make this again.

The cake and icing are both good...just not sure about them together. I think the cake would be better with a vanilla icing. This one was too lemony.
