  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted*)

    Turned out awesome. Added chopped pecans and chocolate chips. I’ve made it twice now. Didn’t have sour cream, so I used buttermilk. Turned out beautifully!!

    I usually use a little milk and vinegar, instead the sour cream sounds delish. Of course I noticed after I tossed it in the oven that I put 1 teaspoon of Baking soda and a 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder instead of paying attention. O well I’ll know in an hour.

    Easy to make and enjoyed by both my 10 yo and 12 yo kids and my husband. I go lighter in the sugar and replace some of white flour with 2/3 whole wheat flour (and sometimes part flax meal) with equally great results.

    Very good. I added poppy seeds and walnut pieces. I used about 3/4 the sugar and it was still too sweet; will cut back next time. Also used a bundt pan which worked pretty well.

    This recipe IS so easy to make and I just happened to have all the ingredients in my pantry and fridge. I added a quarter cup of semi-sweet choc chips for a little fun. Bread comes out beautiful and texture is light. This is now my favorite banana bread recipe!

    superb i changed the egg too vegan "just egg" & the butter to vegan butter used same measurements as your recipe came out very moist..
