This traditional quiche is as easy as ... pie! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.


  • 1 frozen pie shell
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 oz. shredded gouda cheese (2 oz. is about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 oz. shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz. is about 1/2 cup)

    My 15 yr. old son chose to make this for dinner with toasted Italian bread and not only was it simple enough for him to follow along and get tastedgreat! We will make it sgain!

    I used the French Chef's pie crust recipe - WAY better than frozen! And this quiche is yummy! I'd say it's more of a winter brunch dish than a summer one, but it's all gone!

    In a word - Delicious!! Easy to make and well worth the cook time. You could add spinach or mushrooms if you like a little 'extra', but it's really good just like it is.
