    Very good side but i think the super thin potatoes layered with the cheese sauce was the key. I added part half & half and part vegetable broth for the liquid because I had no milk. I also used half the cheese but used a slice or two of velvetta slices cut in strips for the top along with Italian seasoned panko. After baking, I put under the broiler for color and crunch.

    I used heavy whipping cream instead of milk. I added a few splashes of milk as cheese was Incorporated to keep it from getting too thick. Turn out great

    Very watery! Don’t add as much milk maybe and soaking the potatoes probably didn’t help either. Not very cheesy at all, mostly bland. This recipe needs help!

    Runny. Never thickened. Good taste but wanted it to brown and be a little thicker. Backed 60 min with foil. 15 min no foil. And 10 min high broil

    I didn't love this, but I think that's more the dish than the recipe. It's a fine recipe, almost identical to my mac n cheese recipe. I added ham to this and it went well, although that did make it a little greasy.

    Delicious. I changed the ingredients only slightly, adding fresh jalapeño, bacon, and blending the sharp cheddar with pepper jack. Thank you for getting me started
