I’ve made this a few times and love it. It is very friendly to vegetable substitutions. I’m not a big fan of celery, so I’ve substituted edamame, snow peas and sugar snap peas (in the pod). The dressing can be bland, but rather than adding additional ingredients/flavors as others have suggested, I simply add more of the sweet chili sauce. I could see adding some garlic to the sauce. I would be hesitant to add more sesame oil since some brands are stronger than others and can overtake other flavors. All in all, it’s a super easy salad to make and very friendly/adaptable to various substitutions.

So I used different pasta and different vegetables but made the sauce exactly as the receipe called and it was delicious! Could handle a little bit more flavor - next time I will add some garlic, more sesame oil and infuse maybe some lemongrass to make it a little lighter! I took the left over sauce (I had doubled it), added some garlic and marinated a pork loin overnight in it for the BBQ the next day! Delicious!!!
Made a second time and infused with 4 chopped garlic cloves and 1 tbls dried lemon grass plus doubled the sea same oil! Loved it!

Followed the recipe exactly and definitely recommend letting it marinate overnight. The linguine noodles turn darker after they've soaked up the sauce and every bite gets the perfect amount of that delicious dressing.

Very tasty. I used spaghetti noodles, added a bit more brown sugar and char sieu sauce, oh and some Thai satay dressing
