Tasted really good. I switched the amount of orange juice and lemon. The recipe doesnt recommend to break up the chicken into batches to fry. If you dont do this it wont be as crispy. I also added brocoli later to the sauce and ate with rice too. The color isnt as orange as the picture but that doesnt mattee much.

flavor was great, however i would recommend deep frying the chicken. also when adding the cornstarch make sure to completely dissolve one tbsp at a time.

I didn’t really enjoy making this dish (it’s a really intensive and lengthy process), but the results were delicious!

I change the procedure, it was confusing to me. Overall, it turned out well. Maybe next time, reduce lemon juice, more orange juice, reduce sugar.

Ok. I’ll give it another shot. It didn’t really come out like I was expecting this time. I think the cornstarch should have been added to the flour.

This turned out good. After reading the comments I decided to bread my chicken and then cook it as opposed to marinating it into the sauce. After cooking the chicken, I then let it simmer in the sauce. I think next time I will reduce the amount of cornstarch the sauce was a little too thick.

To make the chicken crispy, you must fry the seasoned chicken in oil until crispy and golden brown. Then put a small amount of the orange chicken sauce in a bowl and toss your chicken. Do not overly saturate your chicken or it will become soggy.

I just use the recipe for the sauce, which is delicious! I use arrowroot instead of cornstarch to thicken up the sauce at the end.
I prep and cook the chicken my own way and then add to the sauce. My kids love this dish and request it often!

sauce was great... only the chicken wasn't crispy at all... does anyone know's how to make it stay crispy in the sauce... i know it is possible only i don't know the way :(

If you use this recipe I would recommend drastically cutting down on the cornstarch. It calls for 3 tablespoons, which for the amount of sauce you have is frankly insane and must be stopped posthaste.

Hey I’m wondering do I put the sauce in for 2 hours or the marinated chicken in the fridge for 2 hours ?

The recipe calls for a small amount of oil to cook the chicken in but it’s not enough to coat the chicken to cook it thoroughly. The sauce recipe is great and flavorful but I don’t recommend using this small amount of oil to pan fry the chicken cubes in

It’s turned out great. I pretty much followed the recipe minus the orange zest. My chicken didn’t really bread from the flour, but that was okay. After I mixed the chicken with the sauce, it tasted like orange chicken from the restaurant and that is fine with me. I also didn’t let the sauce sit in the refrigerator for two hours. I would definitely make it again.

Wonderful, easy recipe! Great flavor! We will use this again! We enjoyed with basmati rice.
