I personally have never been crazy about bread pudding but I have made several for my father over the years. This recipe I even liked. I used a stale baguette from Panera.

So darn good I HAVE to make it twice in one week because I feel we didn't get enough. If French toast and cinnamon rolls had a love child, this would be it! Don't let the photo fool you...that is not the usual, exceptionally sweet cream cheese icing you might expect. It's a glazy topping to soften the bread to perfection. I did toast my bread cubes beforehand and ended u using a shallower casserole dish than instructed, so only baked for 35 min. Your house will smell like heaven!

Very good. This was not the first I made this bread pudding. It's the best and easy to make.

It was delicious, the last 7 minutes I lowered the temperature to 325 degrees. I was so thrilled with the ease and how scrumptious it was.

She has craved her grandmother's bread pudding for 30+ years. I know her grandma left me an "Old Dutch Cookbook". I mad this for my mother & she says it is almost exactly like she remembers (minus the pecans &/or walnuts).
